In this 4-hour hands-on workshop you will learn to use the GitLab Kubernetes Agent, an active in-cluster component for solving GitLab and Kubernetes integration tasks, while adhering to GitOps best practices.

You’ll benefit the most from this workshop if you:

• Are in a technical role or manage a technical role, we will spend the majority of the workshop conducting hands-on exercises.
• Are an Application Developer, DevOps Engineer, CI/CD Engineer, Developer Productivity / Developer Advocate team member and work with or depend on CI/CD automation.
• Are interested in understanding and learning how GitLab accelerates development to AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
• Are curious and want to work with GitLab’s new Kubernetes GitOps Pull CD and Configuration Enforcement technology (GitLab Agent for Kubernetes).
• Are inquisitive and want to apply GitLabs long-standing DevSecOps value stream to the GitOps development workflows and best practices that have emerged from the GitOps community.
• Are anticipating the retirement of GitLab’s legacy “Certificate Connection Method” for Kubernetes and would like to setup the new GitLab Agent for Kubernetes connection method which replaces it. This includes understanding and playing with Auto DevOps, GitLab Dynamic Review Environments, Traditional Runner Based CD Push to Kubernetes, and group-level cluster integration.
